Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor, Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has emphasized on cybersecurity and said that many activities including economic transactions, education and administration of the country are now being conducted digitally.
However, the pace at which we have increased ‘digital connectivity could not be ensured to increase cybersecurity. This is very important for the stability of the country.
This was said by Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain while addressing the chief guest at the inauguration of a training workshop titled ‘Cyber Security for Networking Professionals’ at the conference room of Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park in Jessore on Saturday morning. The Four-Day Training Workshop has been organized by Jessore University of Science and Technology with the support of the European Union’s Asia Connect Project of the South Korea-based Trans-Euroshia Information Network.
JUST Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department Chairman Prof. Syed Md. Ghalib presided over the inaugural ceremony of the training workshop, among others – Khulna University of Engineering and Technology Professor. MMA Hashem, Patuakhali University of Science and Technology Professor. SM Tauhidul Islam and Zahidul Islam, ICT expert engineer of the CEDT project of the Ministry of Education.
About 32 network professionals from 25 universities in Bangladesh, including BDRen, participated in the training workshop. The workshop under the supervision of The Department of Computer Science and Engineering JUST will end on March 23.
