ICT Division has successfully completed 52.83% of tasks of ongoing projects. In order to provide broadband internet services at grassroot levels, under Info Gov-3 project, Network Monitoring System Integration Connectivity task has already been completed in 2500 unions out of 2600 as informed by Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD). The data came out in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) Project Implementation Monitoring meeting of ICTD for the month of February of the fiscal year 2020-’21.
The virtual meeting was chaired by the State Minister of ICT Ministry, Zunaid Ahmed Palak while ICTD Secretary, N.M. N M ZeaulAlam, Hit-Tech Park Authority MD Hosne Ara Begum, BCC ED Partaha Prateem Deb, ICTD DG A. B. M. Arshad Hossain were present.
Bikorno Kumar Ghosh, the Project Director of Info Gov-3 Project assures that the broadband connections will be confirmed in the remaining Unions as well by 30 April 2021 through Open Tender Method shortly.
The State Minister puts emphasis on ensuring broadband internet connectivity in all the Unions of the country. To ensure this, Palak passes necessary directives to complete the tasks as per the work plan in a timely manner without compromising the standard of quality. Apart from this, he directs the authorities concerned to employ manpower in vacant positions in organizations, offices, and projects under ICT Division.
